One Action, One Reward
Every verified eco-action in EzFlow translates into a certain number of EcoCoins. For example, logging a walk to school might earn 5 EcoCoins, completing a recycling quiz might earn 2, and a full week of carpooling could earn a bonus. The more impactful the action (in terms of CO₂ saved or educational value), the more EcoCoins you get. It's an instant positive feedback loop – do something good, and immediately see a reward added to your balance.

Unlike fictional game points, EcoCoins have real-world backing. Sponsors fund the pool of EcoCoins as part of their support for the program. This means each EcoCoin represents a micro-investment by our partners in the community's green efforts. When you earn EcoCoins, you're essentially receiving a tiny piece of a sponsor's contribution as a "thank you" for your action. How Do You Use EcoCoins?

A certain number of EcoCoins could even earn a student the title of "Eco Ambassador" of the month, with a special mention at assembly. These rewards turn good deeds into school pride and personal recognition.
Community & Retail Perks
We partner with local businesses and community services to offer discounts or freebies in exchange for EcoCoins. Imagine getting a free bike tune-up at a local bicycle shop by redeeming 200 EcoCoins, or a discount on eco-friendly school supplies at a participating store. Maybe the local café offers a free muffin for 50 EcoCoins to students who biked all week. By rewarding participants with useful perks, we not only thank them but also drive customers to sustainable businesses – a virtuous cycle that benefits everyone.
Donations & Causes
For those who want to pay it forward, EcoCoins can be pooled or donated to support bigger projects. For example, a class might combine their EcoCoins to "fund" the planting of trees in their community or donate to a local environmental charity. We plan special campaigns where EcoCoins unlock real-world grants – e.g., if the community collectively earns 10,000 EcoCoins in a season, a sponsor will fund a new solar panel installation at a school. Earning EcoCoins is also the gateway to unlocking FloweBadges – our digital collectible badges that mark milestones (powered by NFTs for uniqueness). While badges themselves aren't "spent" like EcoCoins, they're a form of reward that gives you bragging rights. For instance, a "CO₂ 100 Saver" badge might be earned once you accumulate 100 kg of CO₂ reduction. These badges show up on your profile, and some special badges might even come with bonus EcoCoins or privileges. Perform an eco-action and log it in the app (or have it auto-logged via a connected device, in the future). Instantly see EcoCoins added to your balance with a satisfying animation – you've earned it!
Track
Check your EcoCoin wallet anytime to see how many you've accumulated. The wallet page also offers suggestions: "You're only 10 EcoCoins away from a Tree Planting reward," or "Collect 20 more for a Bike Shop discount."
Redeem
When you're ready to use EcoCoins, head to the Rewards section of the app. Browse available offers (filtered by those you have enough coins for). Select a reward, and the app will generate a unique QR code or redemption code for you.
Enjoy
Present your code at the participating location or follow the instructions provided (for a school reward, you might show it to a teacher or the office). You'll instantly receive your discount, free item, or acknowledgment. The spent EcoCoins will be deducted from your balance.
Reflect
Afterward, the app updates your profile with what your EcoCoins achieved. For example: "You redeemed 150 EcoCoins – 3 trees will be planted in your honor!" This closes the loop by connecting your action, your reward, and the larger purpose behind it.
A Fair and Fun EcoCoin Economy
We balance the EcoCoin system to keep it fair (rewarding effort proportionately) and fun (feels like a game, not a chore). For instance, there are caps and anti-cheating measures – you can't log more than one trip per morning and afternoon, and any unusual activity triggers a review to keep things honest. Our goal is a healthy "economy" where EcoCoins are valuable but achievable. We also adjust rewards over time based on participation data (using A/B testing) to keep people engaged. The beauty of a digital system is its flexibility – we can run limited-time double EcoCoin promotions for certain actions, or introduce new reward items easily through our cloud setup without any downtime.
